What is PeopleInThePlaceTheyLove？

PeopleInThePlaceTheyLove is an NFT collection created by popular artist Yusuke Hanai. It was launched through FWENCLUB, a platform for selling digital and physical collectibles.

All 1,000 pieces sold out immediately, and the tremendous response on FWENCLUB Discord attracted more than 250,000 users in one week, making it the largest Discord art community in Asia. The floor price is up to 15 times higher than the mint price.

The NFT is inspired by a now-defunct bar where Yusuke Hanai used to work, and the good times he had there. The collection is high-quality art, with each avatar being specially designed and has its unique hand-painted characteristics.

The holders will be invited to join the FWENCLUB members-only community and will also receive advance purchase rights to works by Yusuke Hanai and other works in the FWENCLUB Metaverse.

He created special avatars for the renowned American artist KAWS, Taiwanese singer Jay Chou, Singaporean singer JJ Lin, founder of FWENCLUB SK Lam and entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa. In addition to them, many other celebrities, mostly from Asia, have become PeopleInThePlaceTheyLoven holders.

Yusuke Hanai is an artist born in 1978 in Kanagawa, Japan.

As you can sense from PeopleInThePlaceTheyLove, he has created a unique style that combines a retro style influenced by the American counterculture of the 50s~60s with a Japanese aesthetic.

He collaborates with famous brands such as Vans and GREGORY.

Why hold a PeopleInThePlaceTheyLove NFT?

The project will be divided into three phases, dropping 3,000 NFTs in total. The second and third phases will be released during 2022, and the first NFT holders will earn their whitelist.

The ultimate goal is to open Yusuke Hanai’s BAR in the real world and on the Metaverse. The holders will be invited to the BAR to experience Hanai’s unique atmosphere.
